Under the Sea Theme Party Decorations

I am finding that “Under the Sea” Theme is a popular one!

I have done two daddy daughter dances with this theme. Under the Sea Party Decorations are so much fun! However, I have other themes I have done also that are super fun. You can check out my other themes here! The Under the Sea theme is one of my favorites though because of all the great balloons you can get with it, and I love the bright colors.

Now that “Finding Dory” is out, I am sure more events and parties will be choosing this theme.  The colors for the Under the Sea theme can be nice and bright, or you can do more of the primary colors too. I always look at the mylar balloons that are available first and pick the color scheme from there.

With the two different daddy daughter dances that I decorated. I used a lot of the same mylar balloons because they are so eye catching. How fun for those girls to walk into a transformed space that has bright and colorful balloons everywhere!

This fish is one of my favorites. I added the blues along with the lime green and emerald green 260Q’s to make it look like seaweed was coming up from the bottom.

It is like a little fish party all in one balloon. Mylar balloons are great because they last at least 2 weeks when full and will keep lasting after that by only losing helium a little each day. I would say they stay afloat for about a month if not six weeks.  Mylars are great balloons to give someone if you want a balloon to last for a longer time than latex balloons.

Now, another favorite balloon of mine for Under the Sea party decorations is this mylar starfish. This starfish balloon has complimentary colors to go with the blue and green latex balloons and the 260Q blue and greens for sea weed. You could also add some link a loon balloons behind it for the full effect. Link a loons are also fun to have at any event. They are super easy to put up and you just tie one balloon to the next balloon. They are great for backgrounds.

I used a few different colors for this station of balloons. Link a Loon Balloons come in many different colors and you can do just about any size set that you want.

As this event chose to have little stations in certain areas, I planned for six stations with different Mylars, all helping the Under the Sea theme come to life! Here are the link a loons again put into an arch with a purple octopus placed in the middle. I have the blue and green latex balloons with the 260Q’s for plant life. It looks like they were doing their own thing in this picture! True seaweed effect I say.

 Dolphins

Can you really have an Under the Sea Party without swimming dolphins? No Way. I had so much fun putting these together and the dolphins really do move so it looks like they are truly swimming in the sea.  I chose to have five dolphins in the station along with single balloons and the balloon columns at the side with a dolphin as the topper. The kiddos really loved this one and many wanted to take the dolphins home, including my own daughters. LOL To the right is a close up of the dolphins I used.  I trust Anagram Products when it comes to my mylars. This one is on Amazon, however I have my own wholesaler for my products that I trust.

Imagine you are a little girl and you are going to your daddy daughter dance with your dad for the first time. When you walk in you see this! And . . . . you even get to walk under it! What a way to welcome your guests! This such a beautiful and fun balloon arch that you just can’t go wrong with it.

Now, if you are thinking about doing it yourself, DON’T! The bottom twists can be very tricky, plus it takes a LOT of helium. If you are a perfectionist like me and you are trying to do it yourself, just don’t. That is my suggestion to you! It can be tricky and take a long time to do if you don’t know what you are doing. Just hire someone to do it, save yourself a lot of anxiety.

This arch brings all of the other decorations together. It uses all of the colors and really sets the stage for the perfect event. Plus, it will be the talk with everyone. You just can’t go wrong with this one.

Let me know if you have any other decorations or suggestions that you like for the Under the Sea theme. Obviously, I only do balloons but I am always up for ideas I can give my clients on what else they can get to compliment the event!

Oh My! What beautiful creations! AND what a great business idea!

You must get a lot of satisfaction from seeing the joy this brings to children’s faces and the peace of mind it must bring to parents organising such events. I’m loving the ‘Under the sea’ theme!

I look forward to hearing about your new creations!
